IYA Yoga Classes
The teachers listed in this section are all IYA graduates. During their training, prospective teachers explore classical and contemporary yoga methods, in keeping with Patanjali’s Sutras and the Hathayogapradipika.
Currently, the course is run over a four year period (total 621 hours) and provides trainees with the knowledge, skills and attitude to teach Yoga. Course content includes:
- a Practical component (Asanas, Pranayama, Meditation, Relaxation;
- Theoretical elements (Philosophy, Anatomy, Physiology, First Aid);
- Ethics (Yamas, Niyamas, Project, Class Planning etc.);
- Attendance at weekly yoga class, workshops, seminars.
